Rackheath Printer Carries Off European Award For Third Year Running
Polyprint is celebrating being at the top of its industry in Europe for the third year running, after it won an award at a prestigious European industry event.
Polyprint, which last month announced it had been awarded British Retail Consortium accreditation allowing it to undertake the printing of primary food packaging, won the accolade at the European Flexographic Industry Association (EFIA) awards, which recognise the best in high quality flexographic printing.
The company won the award for a high-quality wrap produced for the Book Club Association’s Books Direct brand – in fact the first job it printed on a new £1 million eight-colour flexopress it installed in May 2010.
Polyprint managing director Jonathan Neville said, "To be recognised three years in a row for the quality of our printing – and by our peers in the industry – is a tremendous achievement for us. We have shown that we can remain competitive without sacrificing quality, something which will become even more important to us as we develop our business into the consumer food packaging arena."
Polyprint is the UK's leading printed polythene mailing film and polythene envelope manufacturer, working with many of the UK's leading publishers and mailing companies. It has pioneered technology allowing printing on ever-thinner polythene film, enabling both cost-savings and environmental benefits.
EFIA was established in 1972 as the trade association of the flexo printing industry, and now has over 400 members.
