Food Packaging
Polyprint holds full British Retail Consortium (BRC) certification for packaging and Packaging Materials - widely held to be the global standard within the food industry.
The company achieved the accreditation at the first audit, in November 2010. BRC certification means that Polyprint is able to carry out primary-contact food packaging printing - something that we do for a number of major food producers and retailers.
Regarded as the global benchmark for best practice in the food industry, achieving BRC certification requires a very high level of commitment to hygiene and food safety. Achieving the standard means ensuring that premises, equipment and the level of training of staff are all compliant.
The BRC Standard requires companies to adopt and implement hazard and risk analysis, have a documented Quality Management System and to control environmental standards, products, processes and personnel.
Accreditation means that Polyprint is now taking its national and international reputation for the quality of its printing into the food sector. Through its work with supermarkets and their suppliers, flexible packaging by Polyprint is already on the shelves of almost all the major supermarkets.
